LIVE MUSIC WITH THE CROOKED FIDDLE BAND

The Crooked Fiddle Band make soundtracks for future folk parties and battle-scene-like climaxes in a blend of folk influences and modern post-rock that they call ‘chainsaw folk’. This irreverent style has made them festival favourites around world, gaining praise from Brian Eno to cult studio legend Steve Albini, who recorded the band’s two albums. “When they took to the stage, it was like someone put 10,000 volts through the dance floor” – Beat Magazine. “Completely original, surprising and quixotic – I’ve never heard anything like it” – Brian Eno “It is rare to hear genuinely original music these days, but when you listen to the Crooked Fiddle Band, your mouth will drop open.” – Bruce Elder, Sydney Morning Herald “jam-packed with mind-blowing, face-melting, jaw-dropping, head-spinning moments: it will surely stay in the minds of those lucky enough to witness it for a very long time” – themusic.com.au
