Gypsies of Pangea + Cambio Sun + Izzy

Friday the 9th of June from 8pm in The Green Room | Tix: $5 entry
While disparate in their influences, psychadelic prog maniacs Gypsys of Pangea, future electro-avant Cambio Sun, and eclectic sweet/sour-folk to die for Izzy combine for a night of drama, screamadelia and ethereal musical magic unlike any other – Friday 9th June @ Petersham Bowling Club. $5 entry. 8pm – 11pm
Gypsys Of Pangea started in 2009 with Luciano Becher on Guitar and vocals, Oscar Veliks on bass and Lochie Earl on drums. They spent their high school years experimenting with prog rock, psych, blues and world music and independently recorded 2 EP’s. Since they finished school they’ve built a reputation at their live shows for their unique sound and technicality as well as producing a growing catalogue of bizarre comedic videos. In 2017 Leah Wilkie joined the band as a keys player. A debut album is expected to come in 2017/2018.
Under the electo-progressive umbrella of artists like Four Tet,  Portished, Thom Yorke, this is the first time Cambio Sun (aka Charlie Tait) has played live in Australia. Performing a wall of sound solo set of multilayered live instrumental and vocals, Tait carries the audience on a sonic, original and intense musical wave.
Sydney born Izzy, weaves sounds of soul, r&b and jazz into her music. The classically trained pianist uses her lyrics to explore subjects ranging from self worthiness, racial identity and day dreaming painted worlds, to stalking famous people online. With the talented Alex Coad on drums the pair merge the world of piano and percussion and take you on a magical ride.
