The Cyril B Bunter Band, Sydney’s legendary exponents of The Good Boogie, who are currently riding high on the success of their LOCO•MOTIVE album, team up once again for a “Blues & Boogie Showdown” with Australian Blues guitar maestro, Mal Eastick.

This show follows up on the incendiary series of gigs which thrilled East Coast audiences last year, with Mal joining The Bunters on stage to showcase songs from both of their repertoires. It’s sure to be one house-rocking, funky, not-to-be-missed party of electric blues and boogie!

In the 70s and 80s, The Cyril B Bunter Band were a rite of passage for countless Sydney fans of Blues and Boogie. Renowned for putting on the best Blues & Boogie shows in town, The Bunters would pack out venues to the brim before hitting the road on frequent national tours with John Mayall’s Blues Breakers, Canned Heat and good mates George Thorogood & The Destroyers.

The Bunters disbanded in 1985, but now in the 21st Century, they’ve brought back that Good Boogie. Gary Lothian (slide guitar), Jimmy Bee (bass and vocals), and Rosscoe Clark (drums), have been joined by latest Bunters recruit, Ali Penney on keyboards.
Mal Eastick is widely considered to be Australia’s finest electric Blues guitarist, with a passionate, explosive and soulful style that has been featured with many leading International and Australian acts for over 40 years. He has played with the likes of Robert Cray, Los Lobos, Buddy Guy, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Johnnie Johnson, Joe Walsh, Junior Wells,  Eric Burdon & The Animals, Tommy Emmanuel, Jimmy Barnes, Kevin Borich, and many more.
