Dónal O’Connor, the son of legendary Irish fiddler, Gerry O’Connor and renowned singer Eithne Ni Uallachainhas inherited a musical legacy of at least five generations of fiddle playing and countless generations of traditional singing, and is one of the finest fiddle players of his generation. He and John are the creative force behind At First Light, the highly innovative traditional band which has toured the world extensively and produced some of the most influential albums in Irish music today
They will be joined by Niall Hanna, a fine young traditional singer and guitarist, who has just released his first solo album.

Together, this trio will take you on an emotive musical journey, from Ireland to the neighbouring Celtic regions and from the ancient music of the Gael to the modern face of traditional Irish music.

“There’s real joy in their playing of fiddles, whistles and Uilleann pipes, and a certain roguish swagger that transmits their enthusiasm for the music directly to the listener with irresistable impact.” – Herald Scotland.
