TJ Eckleberg

January 20, 2019 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Date : Sunday 20 January
Time : 6pm
Tickets : $15 at the door. (Downstairs)

TJ Eckleberg takes the inner-city blues into a sexy, soulful corner, as much inspired by Curtis Mayfield as Tricky, Tom Waits and Robert Johnson singing “Won’t you come on in my kitchen?” The bass lines rumble and moan – tremolo guitars and breathy vocals ride a current that enfolds as it grooves. He has featured in collaborations and projects with Inga Lijlestrom, Morganics, Deepchild and Tokyo Snow Monkeys.

Solo – armed only with electric guitar, loop station and deep down breathy vocals – Eckleberg exudes a soulfulness and charisma that is unique and captivating.

TJ is back in Australia after five years in Japan. He’ll be playing solo electric, featuring some tracks from his back catalog and giving up a sneak preview of a few tracks from the forthcoming album, “Hikari”.
